The fact that arrogance comes and goes is an indicator of the fact that its roots are not accurately identified and fully eliminated. Feigning humbleness while keeping the embers of past trauma alive and a perception of personal deficiencies, causes one to be dependent on how others react to them. They are not self-assured as to who they are by finding satisfaction in what others do/say to them.
The key to complete elimination of arrogance once and for all so that we remain in our natural equilibrium is to deeply examine the damage done to the psyche in the past and completely extirpating trauma which trigger the arrogance repeatedly. It is necessary to sincerely repent of their arrogance, conduct an internal reform and cleanse their consciousness from these weeds. But the main thing is not to avoid negativity, but to tune in positively, because otherwise this reform of consciousness will not be fully implemented and will be of no use.
An arrogant person creates a fog in his own mind and he needs a cleansing from it, because his reality is different than it should be and it can create problems in life and drive people away! What is needed is a realignment of the mind and a pure desire. A person must realize and move forward with God, if there is faith in correction, then God will help find the right path. This creates positive waves.
The perfect man, not the superhuman, is the position on the road to success. The superhuman according to Nietzsche is already arrogant. One must follow the Prophet and be natural.
